Beth Charles
Solitude, tranquility and romance are
common threads woven into many of Beth's impressionistic works. She is a
flexible and prolific artist, working in acrylics, oils and watercolor to
capture movement, moods, and memories
Born and
raised in
Bethâs favored
media is acrylic on large gallery wrapped canvas which allows for the painting
to continue over the edge and around the sides, adding dimension and a surprise
to the viewer. Her subject matter ranges from floral to figurative works with a
focus on realism.' She has been working
increasingly more with the palette knife and acrylic fiber additives to enhance
the movement and texture of her work.
Bethâs
design and color sense and ability to demonstrate painting techniques
effortlessly have lead to her success in teaching and leading workshops for
Holland Friends of Art and Lake Effect Galleriesâ art camps and adult painting classes.' She often collaborates with interior
designers, private parties and Lake Effect owner, Carrie Rodgers-OâNeal, to
create commissioned art pieces that meet their imaginative expectations and
design needs.
