My inspiration comes from the clay. It is strong, fragile and tactically fascinating. My work reveals a lifelong obsession, using bold and subtle forms, textures and harmonious finishes.
Trina M. Feldhake came to Cincinnati in the late 70s to attend the College of Mount Saint Joseph. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with a minor in Ceramics. She continued to study ceramics with Master classes at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Through the City of Cincinnati Recreation program, she taught pottery classes for 10 years. In 2001, she opened Throwing Clay Pottery, a teaching studio and gallery, hosting four ceramic shows a year.
