A resident of Brentwood, Tennessee, Dawn E. Whitelaw is best known in the South for her commissioned portraits. In 1996, she participated in an artist-in-residence program in Dinan, France. She was included in the “10 + 2” show at the Parthenon in Nashville which featured 12 women artists from Tennessee. Whitelaw served as adjunct faculty in the art department of Lipscomb University for 30 years. She now devotes all her time to studio and plein air painting. Ms. Whitelaw’s work is part of many private and corporate collections, including Vanderbilt Medical Center, SunTrust Bank, Lipscomb University, Southern Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Center and the town of Dinan, France.
