JUDITH CHERRY Judith Ernst Cherry received her bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso University in Indiana and her Master of Fine Arts from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She has exhibited her work both regionally and nationally in group and solo exhibitions, winning numerous awards for her paintings as well as her photography. Her solo exhibitions include shows at the Museum of Nebraska Art in Kearney; the Quincy Arts Center in Quincy, Illinois; and Collin County Community College in Plano, Texas. Most notable among her exhibitions was her solo exhibit in New York City, which The New York Times highlighted the show as one of its art recommendations in August 2003. The Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery in Lincoln also showcased Cherry’s work July to September 2000. In addition to group exhibitions, Cherry’s work has exhibited in museums and galleries in California, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Missouri, Tennessee and Wyoming. Her work is represented in many distinguished corporate and private collections as well as in several museums. Cherry is also a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
