Dretzka’s Department Store opened in 1910 and remains a family business. Much of the interior is in its original state. The merchandise is displayed in wooden bins and hung in paneled rooms. Much of it is original mid-century clothing. As you enter the door a bell rings to announce your arrival. Mary Tamsen will greet you with a smile and a hug. Do you need flour-sack towels? Mary will have them. Her windows were decorated for spring. Wearing stock from her store I posed for a new take on self-portraiture.
