The woven cane ornament in the form of an ancestor visage attached to a spiral section of a Turbo marmoratus (marine gastropod) shell, purchased from coastal tribes. The surface decorated with earth, polychrome pigments and feathers. Similar to a dowry, a bride price is an amount of wealth paid by a man to the family of a woman upon their marriage.
