David Hockney (b. 1937) "On It May Stay His Eye" (1976-1977) is a hand signed etching with aquatint from the ‘Blue Guitar’ series of twenty etchings printed by Jennifer Melby, New York, and published by Petersburg Press in 1977. The work of art is printed in colors on Inveresk mould-made wove paper. It is signed and numbered (37/200) by the artist in pencil. The sheet size is approximately 18” x 20.5” with full margins; and with framing and matting, it measures 22.5" x 25.5." Reference: Scottish Arts Council 215; Tokyo 194.
