Jean DuBuffet (1901-1985, France.) Considered a 20th Century Master, Jean Dubuffet was a Painter, Print-maker, and Sculptor. He created a series of abstract paintings, using only primary colors, called, "Les Mires" ("test patterns") in the period of February 1983 to February 1984. The series was exhibited in 1984 at the French Pavilion of the Venice Biennial (Bienalle de Venise) that was dedicated to DuBuffet. This print is from the signed catalog for the exhibition and is one of the "Bolero" (Spanish/Cuban dance) pieces using only the colors red/white/blue. The piece contains the artist's initials and year (1984) in the plate, and hand-signed initials in the lower right margin. It is a small piece (image size is 9" x 10") and is framed and matted to museum specifications. Ships free in the USA.
