Pablo Picasso (1881-1973, Spain/France) "Tete de Femme de Profil" ( Head of a Woman in Profile, 1959) - A color linoleum cut lithograph printed in the First Edition of Pablo Picasso Linoleum Cuts Bacchanals, Women, Bulls & Bullfighters, published by Harry N. Abrams, Inc. in 1962. Produced late in Picasso’s career, this colorful abstract image is rendered in black line with dark brown and lighter tan tones. Very rare hand signed edition, this work of art measures 22.5" x 27" unframed. Ships free in the USA. Between 1958 and 1961 Picasso made many linocuts, a process that he found hugely stimulating. In 1962, in collaboration with Picasso and Galerie Louise Leiris, new linoleum plates were made at 42% of the original size, and it was from those plates that these were made. He hand signed only a few for friends and family.
