This original work is signed and dated “Ensrud 89” in the lower left. The artist describes it as, 'A beloved village on the French Mediterranean, Collioure's beach is a joyful sight. Full of bathers, children and generations of families who congregate under the bright Mediterranean sunlight, it's cradled by the Pyrenees Mountains on one side and the sea on the other which creates an exceptionally uplifting beach scene.' This painting is a vivid interpretation of the summer land- and seascape of this harbor/beach/anchovy-fishing town in bright tones of blue, yellow and magenta. Wayne Ensrud is an internationally known and acclaimed artist who has had over 60 exhibitions in the United States, Europe, Mexico and Japan.
