Much of Zamy's art reflects his Eastern-European Jewish heritage and shows the connection between that heritage and physical surroundings using rich warm tones and colors. This piece is a pencil-signed Artist Proof (A/P) that measures 23.75" X 18." It is unframed. Zamy Steynovitz was born in Poland and moved to Israel in 1957. He studied at the Art School, Tel Aviv, and at the Royal Academy of London. His images reflect his Jewish/European heritage as well as themes such as Paris, flowers, angels, and circuses reminiscent of Chagall. He used a rich, vibrant color palette in the creation of paintings, serigraphs, and embellished serigraphs, among other things, until his untimely death in 2000.
