Charles Arnoldi (b. 1946, USA) - Untitled (diptych) created, hand-signed (lower left) and dated (lower right) in 1988 by the California artist. It is a mixed media piece, consisting of a monotype on paper in two sheets, measuring 75 x 65 inches (190.5 x 165.1cm.) The art is matted and framed under acrylic, measuring 79 x 68 inches. Made from large eucalyptus branches Arnoldi found following a devastating fire in Malibu, the sticks were formed into an enormous geometric pattern. The artist then worked with the Garner Tullis Workshop (Santa Barbara) to press and translate the work onto handmade paper that exhibits its unique embossing and color.
