Paul Jenkins (1923 – 2012, American) Untitled (1971) original color stone lithograph, signed, dated and numbered (17/47) in pencil by the abstract expressionist artist. The sheet measures 27 x 21 inches and is float-mounted on archival matting and encased in a light wood frame measuring 33 x 27 inches. The lithograph is on antique white Arches rag paper and was published by Michael Knigin, owner of Chiron Press, Jenkins’ original printer. Paul Jenkins’ early works were in oil on primed canvas. They were notable, “ … for the way he manipulated paint on the canvas, allowing it to billow, roll, pool and bleed into gorgeous, almost psychedelic compositions.” – from Lawrence Art.
