Francisco Zuniga (1912 – 1998, Costa Rican-Mexican) “El Peinado” (The Combing) is a 1978 limited edition lithograph on Katusha paper printed by Kyron, S.A., Mexico, D.F. It is blind-stamped, signed and dated “Zuniga 1978” in the lower right, and numbered 20/70 in the lower left. The sheet measures 19 x 24.25 inches, and with mat and frame, the work of art is 29.125 x 34.5 inches. Zuniga was a noted painter and sculptor best known for his nude figural works favoring full-figured female peasants native to Central America.
