(After) Banksy (b. 1974, England) “Think Tank” (2018) is a limited edition (12/35) reproduction giclee print with very high pigment color. (Pigment Graphics.) There is a blind stamp imprint, penciled limited-edition number and title in the lower left and the signature imprimee is in the lower right of the 33.5 x 23.5-inch (unframed) work on Fine Art 260 gsm paper. In a rare commercial project, this image, known as ‘Think Tank – Embracing Couple’ is one of a number of stencils created by Banksy that had been commissioned by the English rock band, “Blur” for the cover of their seventh studio album, ‘Think Tank” released May 5, 2003. Banksy designed several images for the entire marketing campaign including album and single covers, vinyl, and CD promos, as well as the press ads, posters and large-sized fly sheets. The original 61 x 53-inch spray paint on steel work sold at Bonham’s (London, Knightsbridge) for over $76,000 in 2006.
