Andy Warhol Portrait – Oil painting on board depicting the famous Pop Artist against a colorful abstract background that includes images of his iconic Campbell’s Soup Cans. The unframed work of art measures 15.75 x 12 inches and the name ‘Andy Warhol’ is painted in cursive in the upper right corner. There are stamps on the verso that read, ‘Authorization by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts’ ‘Andy Warhol 1983, Publisher Ronald Feldman Fine Arts Inc New York’. The board has been mounted, matted, and placed in a black wood frame measuring 22 x 22 inches. This work of art is reminiscent of an Andy Warhol portrait created in 2019, that the artist Moro, from Montreal, Canada painted. It was a 48 x 60-inch acrylic oil on canvas of Warhol using various techniques in abstract and figurative manners with bright colors and effects made with pallets and paint brushes. See photo of Moro's work used as poster for the Warhol museum in Pittsburgh.
