🎨 About the Artist

Debbie O'Brien

(b.1963)

Debbie O’Brien received her MFA in Painting in 2016 from The Academy

of Art University in San Francisco, turning to painting after a career in

Graphic Design. As and avid traveler who has lived overseas for much

of her life, Debbie’s work explores the love of the journey in both subject

and execution. Her expansive and expressive landscape oil paintings

explore the juxtaposition of the natural and the manmade in the

San Francisco Bay Area where she now lives. She keeps her painting

process improvisational, using a variety of tools as she seeks to apply

abstraction to a realistic subject matter.
