Tom Everhart is the only artist with full creative rights to the Peanuts characters by Charles M. Schulz (11/26/22-2/12/00). After graduation from Yale University, he got a freelance job drawing renderings of Charles Schulz's characters. He began working with Peanuts imagery exclusively. Charles Schulz and United Media had a legal agreement allowing Tom exclusive rights to use subject matter from Schulz's Peanuts strip in his art, for the term of his life. Peanuts is the most popular and influential strip in the history of the genre. It ultimately earned Schulz over $1 billion during his lifetime. It was an honor for Tom Everhart to be given sole steward of his creation and has happily devoted his life to it.
