Shlomo Alter (b. 1936 -) Romanian/Israeli; “Balcony View and Bouquet” is a limited-edition color screen-print, signed and numbered HC 20/50 (hors commerce - outside the trade; not for sale through regular commercial channels.) The sheet is approximately 15.5 x 13 inches and the piece has been matted and frame so that the work of art measures 21.5 x 17.5 inches. Alter uses soft color, lines, whimsy, optimism and good humor in a naive expressionistic style influenced by such greats as Matisse, Chagall, and Dufy.
