Larry Zox (1936 – 2006, American) “Prussian Blue” (1978) Rare, sold out limited-edition, 19-color pochoir*, signed and numbered 29/35 in pencil by the artist. It was published by Barbara Gladstone Editions in NY, printed by Chip Elwell, NY on Arches Paper. The 30.75 x 26-inch sheet is covered with Plexiglas and encased in a silver colored welded metal frame measuring 32.25 x 27.25 inches. The image has been described (by sothebyshome.com) as, “(a) dynamic color field of painterly strokes and lines in gray, orange, blue, yellow and brown tones.”
Provenance: Stickers on the back of the piece indicate that prior to our acquisition, the artwork was purchased by Atlantic Richfield Company from Pace Editions, NYC, and that it was framed by Barry Blum Art Concepts, Los Angeles.
Note: The work of art is in good condition with some soft handling creases, a small rub spot in the lower left corner and some mild cockling.
