Keith Haring (1958-1990, USA) "NEW YORK IS BOOK COUNTRY" (1985) Original Haring illustrated poster for the New York Book Fair on September 22, 1985 on Fifth Avenue (48th-57th St) in Manhattan (a charity fair the artist participated in to raise funds for Children's Services of the New York Public Library.) Printed in black, yellow and bright red inks, this poster is illustrated in Haring's whimsical, socially relevant street-style. It is signed and dated 1988 by the artist in the lower center margin of the poster in black marker. Literature/catalogue raisonne: Gundel/von der Osten 23.
