(After) Frederic Remington (1861 – 1909, American) “Bronco Buster” – Bronze reproduction of the 1895 statue by the renowned artist of the American West. A cowboy with one foot in a stirrup and hanging onto the horse’s mane, is mounted atop a rearing bronco attempting to buck him off. The cast bronze sculpture with dark patina has a foundry marking on the horse’s rear and the signed name of Frederic Remington in the lower right edge of the statue. It is mounted to an oval base made of marble and the plaque attached reads, ‘BRONCO BUSTER BY FREDERIC REMINGTON’. The 13 x 10 x 6-inch sculpture is in excellent condition, but the whip usually seen in the cowboy’s right hand is missing.
